Senior Infrastructure Engineer- US

Woodstock, Cape Town 

Permanent, full time US hours between 3PM - 1AM SAST (working from home 7PM-1AM SAST)

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Infrastructure Engineer! In this role you will be responsible for dealing with infrastructure related escalations from our service desk team, using a proactive and analytical approach to resolve issues and provide solutions. 

This is a great opportunity for someone that is keen to learn and develop, as you will have the opportunity to learn from our infrastructure professionals and have exposure to projects across our Azure hybrid environment.

💡 About the Role

In this role, you will:

• Ensure Service Desk ticket escalations have accurate, detailed information before resolving or triaging.

• Collaborate with Information Security to monitor and maintain email, AV, and SIEM security solutions.

• Proactively monitor and react to alerts to minimise downtime.

• Participate in Major Incident Management Bridges as needed.

• Work with the Service Desk to reduce escalations and enable ticket closure before escalation.

• Plan, document, and execute infrastructure changes using an approved change control process, ensuring relevant people are informed, backout plans are tested, and post-implementation reviews are completed.

🎯 What You’ll Bring

• Proficiency experience administering Microsoft Active Directory

·       Proven experience in infrastructure engineering within enterprise environments.

·       Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and networking technologies.

📚 Experience We’re Looking For

• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)

• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 11

• Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online

• Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
